In this episode of The Twilight Zone, humans have to negotiate with a representative of an alien race. The human race believes that the aliens have good intentions, but in the end, they do not. It makes me wonder if one day we will have to make negotiations with an alien race. It seems very likely that we will have to, but I wonder if it could ever happen in my lifetime. It is definitely something very interesting to think about it.
This episode dealt with all the 3(+1) episodes of science fiction. It had an ambiguous ending, because one is not completely sure if the man who deciphered the codes died or not. The whole episode is full of high adventure, because even the concept of benevolent beings is exciting. This episode also has fantastic assumption, which is showcased by the fact that everything is completely normal minus the fact that contact with aliens has been established. Intellectual excitement was very prominent in this episode because who doesn't enjoy thinking about the possibility of aliens coming to Earth?

The fact that our reality is beginning to mirror the science fiction movies from the 1950's is such a surreal thought. We take so many things for granted in this day and age, and it's just mind-boggling to me that all these things are becoming possible. Personally, I think we are beginning to go a bit too far. Just because we are capable of something, doesn't mean it is a good idea to pursue it further. We are beginning to have to deal with the morality of these situations, and ask ourselves "What truly makes us human?" We are already having such troubles with the world we live in today, and I think it is far too presumptuous of us to assume that we could handle all the issues that these scientific advancements would cause, It's absolutely fascinating of course, but I really think that the negative aspects of evolving needs to be taken seriously.
This episode is science fiction because it deals with something that is not quite possible, but it could definitely become possible in the future. Not only that, but it causes the viewer to use some deeper thinking. Since the episode has us as the aliens and the bad guys, it really makes you think about science fiction as a whole. It makes me wonder if there are other planets where they have nightmares of human-like creatures invading their planet. This episode kind of turns the concept of science fiction completely upside down, and makes you wonder what an alien truly is.
